Thought Partner For Enterprise Leadership – Coach – Mentor – Advisor – Connector – Innovator Provocateur

Seductive opportunities. Perplexing challenges. Life is complex AND complicated. And in all of this, how often have you wished for a thought partner that you could talk to RIGHT NOW to both provide an outside perspective AND out-of-the box challenge to your thinking? Personally and professionally? Be it a marketing plan, a sales strategy, a problem with a board member or an issue with your self confidence?

WESTROPELEADS is a leadership and strategic advisory practice focused on distilling and applying the art and evolving science of sensemaking (literally making sense of the environment around you) as a vital development toolset for enterprise leadership – providing them a 360° ROI (self, family, community, business, customer) perspective.

The sectors I am most familiar with are in the communications, agency, media and internet space – from start-up to Fortune 500 level – in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe. Having built and led international corporate teams, my focus is to now work with enterprise management who are, or intend to be imminently, drivers of disruptive innovation – with all of the opportunities and challenges that follow. I provide a coach-approach, second-set-of-eyes perspective to accomplished individuals contemplating key decisions or events, and if appropriate, introductions to others in my network who can bias your efforts for success. It can indeed be lonely at the top, and I have the proven business experience and acumen to be your trusted confidant, mentor or advisor.

I have a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (CEC) from Royal Roads University’s Centre for Applied Leadership and Management – an ICF (International Coach Federation) accreditation.  As such, I consider my professional conduct to be governed by the ICF Code of Ethics.

SERVICE(S):

 Thought partnership is just that – a relationship, not a project.  As your thought partner, I am the only one truly in your camp helping you to better perceive your environment – business, personal, internal, external, challenges and opportunities from a 360° perspective, so as to devise and execute the winning strategies and tactics needed to secure your business objectives while enjoying a happy, accomplished and fulfilling life.

As I am an ICF Certified Executive Coach, our relationship will be coach/mentor driven – wherein you will always be the architect of the future you devise, and therefore will be accountable for it.  However, as your thought partner, I will freely share and leverage my experience, knowledge, insights and connections to help you seize that future, and will hold you accountable for the commitments you make to yourself in its pursuit.

 COMMITMENTS/FEE STRUCTURE:

Given that this is a relationship, the fee structure is retainer based.  The retainer is C$500.00 per month billed in advance via credit card auto-pay, for which I will provide two hours of my time via telephone or skype.  These retainer hours must be used within the calendar month following payment – they cannot be accrued to the following month(s).   If mutually agreed, we can meet in person in central Toronto, or elsewhere on an expense-paid basis.

Additional time can be procured at $250.00 per hour as mutually agreed, and will be billed monthly by separate invoice – due upon receipt.

Note that in certain instances, I may be prepared, under separate agreement, to defer my fees over and above the monthly retainer.  In the event that we agree that I do so, the deferred fees shall accrue at a premium rate of $375.00 (50% more than my base rate), until the first financing or exit event that you participate in.  At that time, I will have the option to take the accrued funds in cash, or may elect to convert these funds in whole or in part to participate in the event on like terms to you.  If you are interested in this structure, please let me know.

Either you or I can cancel this relationship by advising the other in writing at least 30 days in advance.

 PROCEDURE FOR SESSIONS:

You will ‘skype’ me at bob.westrope, or call me at +1 (416) 481-5299 (office) or +1 416-627 7660 (mobile) at the pre-arranged time of our call.  The sessions shall be scheduled as mutually agreed not less than one week in advance.

 CHANGES:

If you need to reschedule your call or appointment, please give me at least a 24-hour notice. All make up calls/sessions must be completed within the current month. If you are on vacation, we will spend more time before you leave or after your return to insure that we meet our commitment.  If you have an emergency, we will work around it. If you must cancel a call, I will do my best to make it up to meet our commitment.

 EXTRA TIME:

You may call and/or email me between our sessions if you need advice, have a problem or can’t wait to share a success with me. I do have time between our regular calls to speak with you, if needed. I enjoy providing this extra level of service. I do not bill for extra time of these types of activity, but I ask that you keep extra calls to 5 or 10 minutes, and your emails short, please.

 CHALLENGES:

If I ever say or do anything that upsets you or doesn’t feel right, please bring it up. I am here to support you and to support your needs.

THOUGHT PARTNER COUNCILS:

From time to time, and if and when appropriate, I hold on-line and physical ‘councils’ (from one to three days) of selected clients to work together as collaborative thought partners.  Participation in these councils is by invitation only, and priced per event.
